Bunfest report part1

I'm going to do this report in two parts, this part will have pictures from the event. And the next will have the bunny interviews and some video, there won't be any human video interviews because of some unforeseen problems (my human interviewer wasn't feeling well).

Things didn't start out all that great on Sunday, sure daddy was up and ready to go, but just as we were stepping out of the door things started going wrong. First the fire alarm went off, this means no elevators. Normally this wouldn't have been a problem, living on the second floor there is an exit out to the street (by way of a bridge over the parking lot). But we are still living in the temporary apartment on the 5th floor, so we had to use the stairs.
The second roadblock was that it was raining (cats and dogs is the term I believe the humans use to discribe the amount of rain coming down). The annoying thing was, we were on the final bus about 10 minutes out, and the rain stopped and the sky cleared.

Okay, now to get to the part I know everybun wants to hear about, Bunfest!!!!! Well, it was great, I went in my Tie Fighter (the one I was in for Fan Expo). I wanted to make sure I stood out, and boy did I ever. Not a single stroller was like mine, not really surprising considering it was made to look like a Tie Fighter.
It was up to me and daddy to cover things for the first 15 minutes, uncle Matthew was running late (see rain storm above for the reason). Once he got there he didn't have a camera with him, luckily daddy had the backup camera. Our video interviews with some humans there didn't workout either, and this after daddy did a crash course on recording video interviews the night before. Mommy Louise was supposed to be my translator for the interviews, but she wasn't feeling well, so we decided to skip those. I will be adding text interviews I did with some of the bunnies there, but those will come in the next part.

I my favourite vet, Dr Munn was there, and he said hello to me. I like him (except when he's sticking things in my mouth), so I kept my eye on him, just in case he decided to pull something. We met all of my human friends there, Brenda (Lancie's mom), Michelle, Haviva and made a few new friends. Lets see, there was the Whimsical Hare lady, she makes sculptures based on a real rabbit. So if daddy were to have one made of me, it would look exactly like me, right down to my handsomely disapproving face.
If you look close you can see a picture of the real bunny with it's mini-me replica

There was something that seemed a little out of place, in amongst the various rescues was one that didn't seem to fit in. I couldn't quite put my paw on it, but I think it was the kind of critter they were rescuing that didn't fit. They were rescuing bees, you know, those black and yellow flying insects, to be fair I have seen some bunny bees around, but those were bunnies dressed up in bumble bee costumes.
After wandering around taking pictures of the bunnies that came with their human slaves, daddy let me spend some time in the Bunny Flop Lounge and Nibbles Cafe. I reconnected with my BBD crush Pika, BBD means Big Beautiful Doe, and Pika is a Flemish Giant so she fits the description.
Saying hi to Pika

I was busy searching for away to get over and see her.

This is my BBD Pika

Needing to do some cleaning

This one was becoming annoyed with all the picture taking
This is me "helping" with the change over.
When daddy came back to get me I decided that I should help tidy the pen up, and get it ready for the next bunny to use, so I started to pull up the paper floor. Daddy's always telling me I should clean up my own messes, I just don't do that at home.
Now on to some random pictures of some of the bunnies that were there.

Hey, look who it is, mommy Louise and Sasha and Coco.

I would be so mad at her for holding me like this.

Snuggle bun

More fluff then bunny

Oh, and there were the usual things, like the Bunny Torture Area (AKA the spa).
These ladies really know how to torture groom bunnies, look at all that fur

There was also the Glamor Shots table, where you could get professional pictures of your bunnies.
First problem, getting them to face the camera
That's a little better.
There were several humans there that are worth showing in this report.
Buying a Thumper stuffie at the store

One of the craft ladies

One of the crafts you could make

Uncle Matthew suggested that daddy should get this dress for mommy Louise

A victim client of the face painting table

Daddy showing off pictures to the people in the store

Two of the intrepid reporters

The lady that runs the show, Haviva

Another of the volunteers working the store.
Of course there were other tables and things to buy.
Bunny themed stuff for the slaves to buy

Bake table with human treats

The adopt a stuffie table, and the face painting table

My new sign.

Daddy put it on the front of the stroller for the ride home.
Uncle Matthew has his own bunny now.
NOT REAL
He won it in the silent auction, along with other toys. It's the full size Fur Real Friend rabbit, to my baby one.
This is the baby version
At least these two are slightly easier to take care of, give them some Energizer batteries every one and a while and they'll be your friends for life.

Well, that's it for part one, stay tuned for part two which should be up by the middle of next week, I hope. I've got to rely on some humans actually sending daddy the answers to the interview questions, so it might take a little longer to get part 2 published.
